wow...

Today is turning out to be insane. I can't specify; smart ppl don't discuss work on public blogs. It's just very chaotic right now. ARGH.

I made one skirt, wore it to the club. Worked well. Started on a second of a different design. Let me tell you this: STRETCH VELVET IS OV TEH DEBBIL. It curls! It flops all over! It slides off the table! The ends don't want to match up! Thank heavens the sides will be shirred so if it's not perfectly even, no one will know. I am also debating what to do about the waistband. If I just make a casing and stick elastic in it, that's gonna be 4 yards of fabric bunched up around my tummy. I think I will have to bastethe top, gather it some by pulling the threads, then make a separate band big enough to go over my hips plus a bit, put the elastic in *there* then attach it to the gathered top. This is gonna be a bitch...and I hope I have the needed materials in my sewing cabinet because I am flat broke and cannot buy one more thing until payday. Not even half a yard of fabric. SIGH. Because, you know, goth at the fabric store sees velvet and it's all over. lol, I suck.

A shout out to MK4ME: She sent me a gift of a very dark lipstick that looks just like blackberry juice. I wore it to the club and stuck it in my clubbing purse for future events. It looks very good with my pale olive skin.

Gotta go for now...I'll walk around the block and get some fresh air before I return to the madness.
