ok so I had my blood drawn yesterday for the thyroid panel and now I hang tough until I get the news. ugggh. I know I'm hypothyroid. My doctor had best get with the treatment or I will find a new doctor. I've been putting up with enough stalling from her.
Anyway, I think tonight I will try making a doll cake with fondant rather than buttercream for the "dress." I have a bunch of gothed up doll picks all ready to use. I have a swirly pattern embossing fondant rolling pin and a silicone rolling mat. This is going to be EXCITING. I haven't learned a new technique in ages; just spent lots of time learning to refine my current ones. I need to buy a few more supplies though. Cake boards...and WHERE do I get cake boxes that aren't all tore up? Michaels' boxes suck. Powdered sugar, eggs, butter. You still have to coat the cake with a light layer of buttercream for the fondant to stick to.
If the results are good, I will take a photo and post it. Even if it's a sucky cell phone pic, lol. I need a better cell phone but do not have the money right now.
