Finally flowers

I believe spring has actually sprung. I saw daffodils and various trees blooming this morning. Holy cow am I glad to see them. It's like a long lost friend. PLANTS!!! Now, I need to get busy with a shovel and hack up some potatoes and stick them in the ground like I promised myself I would do. Then the next time I hire a friend to mow the yard, I have to put some kind of barrier there and say "don't mow the potato plants mmkay." Not weeds. Food! lol

I'm still angry at the dummy who ripped up all the blackberry brambles close to where I work. I was harvesting those!!! People are so used to supermarkets any more, they don't know what food bearing plants look like. I actually got comments of "why is gothchiq eating berries off of wild plants, isn't she gonna get sick" and I'm like, look. These are blackberries. You pay good money for like a measly pint of these in the store. Food does not magically appear in supermarkets. It is grown or raised on farms. The plants get harvested. The livestock gets killed. We are omnivores. We can't eat laboratory chemicals (though with some modern foods, it seems we are trying. I buy organic. don't get me started. lol)

That reminds me, I gotta check when the farmers' market will be operating again. I want another jar of that local honey. Also some fresh cheese. And a great big bucket of strawberries that I will just sit down and plow through when they come into season.

I need more coffee. I'm kind of dead right now.
